The greatest advantage of air source heat pump technology is its economic energy efficiency. With high energy efficiency, it only consumes a portion of electrical energy to produce 3 to 4 times the amount of heat energy relative to the consumed electrical energy. The COP (Coefficient of Performance) value of air source heat pumps under national standard conditions generally ranges from 2.9 to 4.5, easily meeting the required standards. However, when the ambient temperature drops below 5°C, the unit’s efficiency begins to decline, and standard air source heat pumps are almost unusable at -5°C. In contrast, ultra-low temperature air source units can continue to provide heating in temperatures as low as -25°C.
