Concealed fan coil unit is a kind of fan coil unit that is widely used and has a very high application rate, mainly because of its better overall aesthetics. In contrast, horizontal concealed fan coil unit has a higher application rate because it can greatly save the application rate of ground space.
Today, let’s talk about the installation and construction standards of concealed fan coil units (taking horizontal concealed fan coil units as an example)
1. The installation of horizontal concealed fan coil units is required: supports and hangers. The selection of supports and hangers for fan coil units shall be based on the type and weight of fan coil units. The installation position of hangers shall be determined according to the design drawings. The fixing of hangers for fan coil units shall be reinforced with expansion bolts.
Note: Each horizontal concealed fan coil unit must be fixed by independent supports and hangers, and cannot be shared with air pipes.
In order to reduce the operation noise of fan coil units, some will also adopt vibration damping hangers, and the installation standard should also be based on the design requirements.
2. The installation height and position of fan coil unit shall be determined according to the requirements of drawings, and must be accurate. Double nuts shall be used for fastening the connection and fixing of boom and fan coil unit. In order to reduce noise, rubber pads with a thickness of 3mm shall be installed on the nuts.
3. In order to facilitate the maintenance of fan coil units in the later period, be careful not to forget to reserve inspection doors on the ceiling.
4. Pay attention to the slope when installing concealed fan coil unit condensate pan.
5. The connection between fan coil unit and pipeline should be colored and flexible. The pressure resistance value must be greater than 1.5 times the working pressure. During installation, care should be taken not to distort.
6. The inlet and outlet pipe joints and drain pipe joints of the fan coil unit shall be careful not to leak water, and then pay attention to pipe insulation treatment.
