When we choose fan coil units, we need to consider the following points:
(1) Classification of fan coil units:
Types of fan coil units include: horizontal concealed fan coil unit (with air box), horizontal concealed fan coil unit (without air box), horizontal exposed fan coil unit, vertical concealed fan coil unit, vertical fan coil unit There are many types of surface-mounted fan coil units, cassette-type two-outlet fan coil units, cassette-type four-outlet fan coil units and wall-mounted fan coil units.
There are two forms of fan coil units: vertical and horizontal; the installation forms are surface-mounted and concealed; according to its air outlet mode, it can be divided into three types: top air outlet, oblique air outlet and front air outlet; according to its air inlet The water methods can be divided into three types: left water inlet, right water inlet and rear water inlet.
The distinction between vertical and horizontal types is mainly for concealed fans. Purpose The surface-mounted fan coil units produced in my country are generally vertical. It is mainly installed under the window sill and is commonly used. The horizontal concealed fan coil unit is a vertical concealed installation that is placed horizontally. There are many differences in structure from the vertical type. Horizontal concealed fan coil units are usually hoisted on the ceiling of the room, with cold air flowing from top to bottom, and the return air outlet is located at the other end of the ceiling.
Vertical surface-mounted fan coil unit
Exposed installation and concealed installation are divided according to the fan coil structure type. Exposed installation means placing the fan coil in a visible part of the room, while concealed installation means placing the fan coil in an invisible part of the room, usually under the window sill, on a greenhouse or inside a wall.
Horizontal concealed fan coil unit
Top air outlet, oblique air outlet and front air outlet all refer to the air supply direction of the vertical fan coil unit, while the horizontal air outlet direction is horizontal. The top air outlet direction is vertically upward, that is, the cold (hot) air is blown upward at the top of the fan coil unit. The direction of the oblique air outlet is 45 degrees to the horizontal, and the cold (hot) air blown out is oblique. The front air outlet direction is horizontally forward.
Left water inlet, right water inlet and rear water inlet
This refers to which side of the air conditioner the inlet and outlet pipes of the fan coil are located. The judgment method is: face the fan coil unit that pushes out the air and look down as the benchmark. For fan coil units with oblique air outlet and front air outlet, face the air outlet as the basis. The water inlet and outlet pipes on the left are called left water inlets, those on the right are called right water inlets, and those on the rear are called rear water inlets.
(2) Selection steps for fan coil unit
Clarify the requirements for the type, specification, air outlet location, etc. of the unit selected for the fan coil unit.
1) When selecting a fan coil refrigeration unit, match the design preheating load with the sensible heat load of the unit. In most cases, the coil has sufficient latent heat capacity to meet design needs. If using outdoor air, trim accordingly.
2) Heating: Usually the heating capacity of the unit selected for cooling is sufficient, and the heat return is selected based on the same water flow rate, that is, the inlet water temperature is used to meet the required indoor heating load.
3) Refrigeration: indoor preheating and cooling load, total indoor heat and cooling load, inlet air temperature, inlet water temperature, and air volume.
Determine parameters such as fan coil unit specifications, water volume, required water temperature and pressure drop
1) Make it clear whether the fan motor bearing uses an oil-containing or oil-free shaft pump. If a non-oil-containing shaft pump is used, refuel it regularly according to regulations during use.
2) Clarify the left or right outlet direction of the water pipe of the selected unit (related to pipeline layout, etc.).
3) The inlet cold water temperature of the fan coil unit should not be lower than 5℃, otherwise it may cause condensation in the unit; in winter, the water temperature should not exceed 60℃, which can reduce scaling and reduce the alternating effect of hot and cold. The tightening force of the expanded tube is weakened, which affects heat transfer.
4) Pay attention to the insulation measures of the outlet water to prevent condensation from causing damage to indoor buildings during use in summer.
5) A vent valve is installed at the highest point of the unit coil. The above two items are essential when purchasing a fan coil unit. Users are requested to locate fan coil specifications, forms and related parameters according to their own needs, and purchase fan coils better, faster and more effectively.
