Working principle of water source heat pump system

The water source heat pump uses circulating water to extract heat. It consumes little electricity to convert heat into high-temperature energy. The system then heats or cools the workshop efficiently.

Its operation works as follows:
The system extracts low-grade heat through circulating water. The compressor converts this low-temperature heat into high-temperature energy. The high-temperature energy heats or cools water. The fan coil releases this energy into the workshop.

This design ensures year-round efficient operation. It meets temperature requirements even during Hebei’s cold winters.

Cooling and heating load analysis

The engineer calculates cooling and heating loads based on Hebei’s climate and the workshop structure.

The unit cold load index reaches 110W/㎡, with a total demand of 1320kW. The unit heat load index reaches 100W/㎡, with a total demand of 1200kW.

The system’s water source heat pump provides a rated cooling capacity of ≥1320kW. It also delivers a heating capacity of ≥1200kW. This ensures year-round heating and cooling needs are fully met.

The system reduces running costs significantly. During a 120-day heating season, running 8 hours daily, costs per square meter stay around $2.

The system achieves high energy savings and efficiency. It delivers thermal efficiency of 520%-780%. This saves over 30% compared to traditional heating.
